Describe Jess and Leslie's friendship. How does it begin? Does it stay the same? How does their friendship change each of their lives? Do you have friendships like this?
At first, Jess and Leslie's friendship was awkward; Jess thinks Leslie is weird and is kind of boy-ish. But when Jess hangs out with Leslie, and gets to know her more, they get along really well. I think that the relationship changes throughout the book because they get along better towards the end. They share more secrets and they point of the obvious similarities between eachother. All my friendships are a little awkward, and i get shy. In this case, I am more like Jess because he is the more shy character; sort of like me... I feel like Jess and Leslie's relationship is stronger and meaningful, and the author wanted the reader to feel connection
why do you think that Leslie and Jess's relationship worked out really well like this? have you ever had a friendship like this? how did their friendship make you feel throughout the book? i read this book and i also felt the same way! :)
